I pride myself on being authentic and this is one of the reasons why I’ve decided to share a personal post with you all. Life is not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it can be extremely challenging. We all go through moments of sadness, anger, imbalance, fear, loss, etc. Even though I love beautiful things and share many of them on my blog – fashion, make-up, home decor, etc., at the end of the day, it’s not what life is about. I find true fulfillment and happiness looking inward and experiencing life’s moments with my husband, family and close friends.
A few days ago I was sitting on a massage table in Tokyo zen-ing out, reflecting on 2017 and I had an awakening – I needed to share my journey from this past year. When my treatment was finished my therapist said to me, “your energy around your throat is different than anywhere else in your entire body. You need to say/speak up about something.” This solidified what I had already concluded to say the least. Now, I’m sitting in my hotel lobby in Japan writing this post…
I’m getting ready to travel to my last destination of 2017 and first of 2018… JAPAN, here I come!! If you’ve followed me for awhile you know my husband, Luke, and I are quite the travel bugs. This year alone we’ve probably been on 30+ planes, traveling all across the U.S., Mexico and Australia. Why not end it with a BANG – literally ringing in the NEW YEAR in Tokyo! 🙂
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a professional packer 😉 If you missed my travel post on my What’s in my Carry-on, you should check it out! In this post, I’m sharing my top 5 things I can’t travel without. See below!
There are many things to cheers to today… it’s Friday, it’s a ho ho holiday weekend AND NYE is just a little over a week away! 2018 is going to be here before we know it! I don’t know about y’all but I love when the clock strikes midnight and a new year is upon us. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the past year, be thankful for all of our blessings and set goals for the upcoming year. Who doesn’t like a fresh start!?
What better way to ring in the New Year than with a BUBBLY BAR?! YAS please! If you’ve followed me for awhile you know I have a thing for BARS… and no, they are not all alcoholic… but some are 😉 Here are some of my faves… Hot Cocoa Bar, Caramel Apple Bar, Acaí Bowl Bar and Boo-zy Bar…

Y’all voted on my Insta Story poll and told me you wanted to see more home decor/entertaining AND budget friendly outfits. Well, your wish is my command! 😉 If you add up my blush and blue jean baby look it’s under $100 buckaroos – jacket, jeans and sweater! YAY! I just love me a deal and more importantly, I love sharing with you guys!
When in doubt, wear denim from head to toe 😉 I love me a Canadian Tuxedo and basically all my dreams came true in this outfit when I added a lil’ pop of PINK! I spied this faux fur denim jacket at Forever 21 last month and let’s be honest, I needed it immediately! The BLUSH collar is everything. I’ve worn it about 5+ times so far and every time I wear it, someone gives me a compliment 😉 This is THE most fun jean jacket I’ve ever owned and boos, it’s only $32.90!! Wooooohoooo! Sizes are selling out fast so get it while it’s hot! FYI – I am wearing a size M as I wanted it to be overside. I’m also linking more similar options below.
